POLIS, a large scale media art installation. Examines the singularity of spectacle in contemporary society through an intricate system of indoor and outdoor pre-conceived urban scenarios. This performance adaptation stems from the original script for the video triptych BLACKOUT RECORDINGS. The Sound Track enters and exits the performance space with a precision reminiscent of a cinematic structure. Polis has been specifically set for the Whitney Museum of American Art Lower Gallery.
